I love Christmas music. LOVE it. I listen to them at Christmas time, sing them, and thought that I knew most of them. My assistant director requested an arrangement of this carol for our Junior Band, and I had no idea what he was talking about. Somehow, this beautiful song went under my radar all of those years until he asked for this arrangement. I was happy to oblige. On a side note, this piece was “rushed” as he told me he wanted this for his group about 2 weeks before the performance. I wrote it in one evening, among much muttering to myself and stress, but it turned out great. So, to my assistant, Steven Cazort, I say: Thank you for being such a procrastinator! *J.W.
